Pokémon X/Y’s new starters and 3D world

Farewell, 2D Pokémon sprites. Announced for 3DS this morning, Pokémon X and Y will be the first fully 3D entry for the series, as well as the first one to receive a simultaneous worldwide release (October 2013).

“Coming!” Rachel trotted down the stairs and pulled the door open, fully expecting anyone but the girl in front of her now. Her jaw almost dropped. “Quinn?”

The girl in question smiled a little and blinked coquettishly. “Hello, Rachel.”

Flabbergasted, the brunette could only stare. “Wha-what are you doing here? I thought you-“

“Can’t I just say hello to a fellow Glee club member?” Quinn interrupted, shifting to lean on the door jamb.

Rachel huffed and crossed her arms. “Your reasoning is highly suspect, since you have never just visit ‘a fellow Glee club member.’ So why are you really here?”

Quinn raised one delicate eyebrow. “I thought you’d be happy to see me.”

“I’d be happier if you weren’t a lying-“

“Since when did I lie?” Quinn asked, once again speaking over the other girl.

“You told me your family went to Columbus to meet your sister!” Rachel’s voice was getting a little shrill, but she was hated when someone cut into her talking!

“Technically they are, but-“

“Why aren’t you with them? That’s the whole point of a family gathering!”

Again a smile stretched the other girl’s lips, this time a bit wider. “Yes, well, I decided that family gatherings are so much more annoying and troublesome than cooking your girlfriend a romantic dinner at your very, very empty house.”

“You- What?”

Quinn ignored her, instead poking her head inside the doorway and raised her voice. “Mr. Berry, I’m taking Rachel with me for a sleepover at my house!”

From the depths of the house came “Be sure to bring her back in time for brunch tomorrow! Have a good time!” and just like that the blonde pulled the smaller girl outside. Rachel was barely able to turn and shout “‘Bye!” to her parents before the door shut.

“Really!” she said and turned around fully intending on scolding her girlfriend. Instead she came face to face with a handful of flowers and a slightly blushing Quinn, and she couldn’t help but fall in love a little bit more.
