It’s totally the next day here, so we’re moving on to today’s song! I am still in Pokémon mode, so the only logical step would be to post the main theme to Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal. (This particular video is Gold, though, since that was the one I personally had.) I don’t know whether I prefer RBY music to GSC, but both are immediate markers of my childhood. And I should hope they are for the rest of my generation as well, because otherwise they are missing out on about half the jokes on the internet. (OK, maybe not half, but they definitely won’t get Pokémon Profile Pic Month.)

I’ve finally hit the Ps in my alphabetical iTunes album playthrough, and if you’ve followed my long enough (or paid attention, I don’t know), you can probably guess what that means: Pokémon. I thought about picking my favorite song from this incredible series, but in the end, I decided that I’d go with what started it all. That’s why today’s song is the Pokémon Red/Blue Opening Theme. What’s your favorite song from RBY?

So my friends have gotten me back into the Tetris craze… I keep getting into it and then falling out of it and then into it again. Well, just goes to show that Tetris is a game for the ages. So for today’s song, we have the Tetris theme. This is a version on a laser harp, but really the instrument itself is a theremin made to look like a harp-type thing with lasers. Or at least something like that. It’s a theremin in the aspect that there’s no actual thing to touch…? Anyway, you should go check out theremins because they’re awesome.

I finished my homework early today, so my friends and I cracked open Kirby’s Return to Dreamland. Even though it’s been out for a year (I think), I’ve never played it before, but it was a lot of fun! It really reminded me of my first Kirby game, Super Star (for the SNES!). It was kinda funny though, since all my friends were like “You can’t combine abilities like in Crystal Shards??” and I was like, “Huh?” I’m so old school sometimes… :/ Anyway, in honor of playing that, today’s song is the Title theme/BGM to Cookie Country from Kirby’s Return to Dreamland. You guys should play, it’s a lot of fun!

Today, I plugged in Super Smash Bros. Melee after a very long time and realized just how bad I was at it, and after a game or two turned it off. But the music is good! So today’s song is the opening theme for SSBM, plus the voices and sound effects and everything!

I’ve been having the strangest urge to play Skyward Sword, so now that I’m on break, I was like, yeah! And now I am. Currently playing hard mode, and just finished the Wing Ceremony scene, so here’s the music from it!

Today’s song is “Epona Song ~Lon Lon Ranch~” from the Legend of Zelda Re-Arranged Album. I’m currently going through ALL the Legend of Zelda and this popped up. The song is so whimsical and just really nice. Hope you all enjoy!

Today’s song is from the intro to Milky Way Wishes from Kirby Super Star. I decided we need some old school Kirby (or Popopo as my roommate and I “call” him).

Since I’ve been listening to so much iDOLM@STER lately, I started thinking about what exactly got me into it in the first place. Well, a couple years ago, I saw this video that was very well edited and was a medley of a bunch of mostly anime/video game related music. Today’s song is that, the Kumikyoku Nico Nico Douga medley. This video opened me up to a bunch of Japanese related stuff, especially Nico Nico Douga, so you could say it was a turning point in my life?

I have one particular favorite Haruka song, so today’s song is “Otome yo Taishi wo Idake” or “Girls be Ambitious” from iDOLM@STER. The people who make iM@S vids are super awesome, and this one is no exception. :D (Note: the original fansubber is now domelola2nd, so go check out their channel!)
